  • Late Nineteenth Century – The Tradition

    The first servicing centre named «Ubiali Filippo e figli – Premiata Fabbrica di Carri» was founded in Crocette di Mozzo at the end of the nineteenth century by Filippo Ubiali, grandfather of Ermanno Ubiali, the present chairman of OVID.
    The Ubiali family started manufacturing and repairing animal drawn carts used for goods transportation and in agriculture. Since then, the Ubiali family has always been highly appreciated.
  • The 60s – A period of change

    Turning its artisan and rural nature into a modern one, the company started to focus on the new Italian industrial scene: the company was moved to Dalmine and, understanding its strategic market potential, started to provide truck crane servicing
  • 1980 – A new era

    The company OVID spa (Officine Veicoli Industriali Dalmine) started its activities on January 2, 1980. New operational headquarters were built on a 25,000-sqm area, near the Dalmine tollgate: a strategic location because of the growing transit of heavy goods vehicles on the Milano-Bergamo-Brescia highway.
  • 2004 – Opening of a branch in Lallio

    The company developed further and a new OVID SpA branch was opened in Lallio on a 1,100 sqm industrial area. In this branch, OVID started to perform tests and set-ups on both fixed pressure systems and systems used for road transportation, in conformity with the T Ped Regulation.
  • 2015 – ISO 9001 Certification

    In April 2015 OVID obtains the certification of its quality system according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
